AI assistant — Read-only operations assistant
The AI assistant in the production platform helps people understand what is happening. It only gives advice: it can call nothing but the platform's read-only queries, and every suggestion has to be accepted or rejected by a person.
What it does
- Explains an alarm's likely causes and the order to check them, and finds the root cause among related alarms.
- Writes shift handover, daily and weekly summaries.
- Answers questions about site data in everyday language; every answer lists the data it used.
Maintenance suggestions
- The platform builds statistical baselines from history and finds stuck or drifting sensors, worsening kW/ton and PUE, short cycling and abnormal currents; the AI writes these up as specific maintenance suggestions.
- Every suggestion is accepted or rejected by a person, with who and why recorded. Any setpoint change still goes through the 8-step change flow and approval. For life-safety systems the assistant only explains data.
Controls
- Off by default, with three switches: the platform (the platform manager sets the API key, stored encrypted), the customer (tenant consent) and the site.
- Monthly cost cap with reminders and rate limits; passwords, tokens, IP addresses, host names, e-mail addresses and phone numbers are removed before anything is sent; every request is audited.
- In the solution center it drafts equipment surveys, point lists (points read-only by default), connection methods, BOM checks, supplier quote comparisons and proposals. Everything is a draft for an engineer to review.
In the demo
- The assistant on the public demo is a simulation: answers are generated locally by rules from the demo site's data and marked as simulated. No AI service is called.
