Supported equipment and brands
356 device types in 16 categories. Every type comes with a point template, common alarm rules, a process-graphic symbol and the industries it belongs to. The model library covers every type with 967 brands, 1306 product families and 3066 models.
Any brand. Mixed freely. One platform.
FacilityOS is not tied to any equipment maker. Any device that speaks a standard protocol can be connected, and different brands work side by side on the same site — for example a Trane chiller, Gree air conditioners, a Vertiv UPS, Acrel meters and a Siemens PLC, all monitored together.
Keep what you have
Your installed equipment and existing systems stay. Nothing has to be torn out to get one view of the site.
Choose suppliers freely
When you expand or replace equipment, pick the supplier that fits — you are not locked to one manufacturer.
Compare prices
Because any compatible brand can be connected, purchases can go out to several suppliers for quotes.
One set of tools
Alarms, trends, reports and work orders work the same way for every brand on every site.
What makes it possible
- A model library of 967 brands and 1306 product families, recognized automatically during a network scan.
- Open standard protocols: BACnet, Modbus, OPC UA, IEC 61850, DNP3, SNMP, Siemens S7, EtherNet/IP, MQTT, KNX, M-Bus and more.
- A device the library doesn't know is connected through the generic template of its protocol and adjusted to the vendor's point list.
- Your data stays yours: northbound OPC UA, MQTT Sparkplug B, a REST API and CSV / Parquet export.
Equipment from different makers on one site, each on its own protocol, brought together by the FacilityOS gateway.

"Any brand" means equipment with a standard communication interface. Equipment without one is connected through added meters, sensors or dry contacts. Connecting a device still takes a confirmed point list — it is not plug-and-play without configuration. Life-safety equipment is monitored only, never controlled.
Category
Cooling plant
Chillers, pumps and cooling towers make and move chilled water.
21 device types →Air side
Air handlers, CRAHs and VAV boxes deliver cooling and fresh air into rooms.
31 device types →Cleanroom
Make-up air, recirculation units, fan-filter units, room pressure cascades and particle counts. Lose cleanliness and the work in process may be scrapped.
20 device types →Liquid cooling
Coolant distribution units pipe coolant straight to AI server chips.
4 device types →Heating
Boilers, steam and hot water: winter heat, domestic hot water and process heat.
3 device types →Power
Switchgear, UPS, generators and transfer switches keep the power on and meter energy.
79 device types →Process
Production equipment — machining, welding, molding, painting, testing. Every stop costs output.
66 device types →Refrigeration
Cold-room and refrigerator systems: lose temperature and the product or medicine is lost.
12 device types →Utilities
Compressed air, water, dust collection and exhaust: unglamorous, but when they stop everything does.
2 device types →Water systems
Ultra-pure water, purified water and WFI, process cooling water, wastewater treatment and supply pumps and valves. Water quality and flow set yield and discharge compliance.
26 device types →Gases & vacuum
Bulk gases, specialty gas cabinets, clean dry air and vacuum pumps feed every tool. Lose supply and the tools stop; a leak is a life-safety matter.
18 device types →Exhaust & abatement
Acid and alkali scrubbers, VOC concentrators and oxidizers, general exhaust. They protect people and keep the air permit.
10 device types →Lighting
Lighting circuits and schedules affect safety, comfort and the power bill.
4 device types →Materials handling
Conveyors, sorters, dock doors and elevators move people and goods.
9 device types →Medical systems
Medical gases, OR and isolation room pressure, pharmacy cold chain — directly tied to patient safety.
14 device types →Life safety
Fire alarm, fire pumps and gas detection. The platform only monitors and notifies — it never controls them.
37 device types →How a scan recognizes your equipment
Exact model
The model is in the library and its firmware is in the known range: the point map for that firmware is used.
Model family
The model matches a family pattern: the family's point map is used.
Make only
Only the manufacturer is recognized: the manufacturer's generic template is used and you are asked to confirm the model.
Protocol generic
Nothing else matches: the standard protocol template is used (standard BACnet objects, UPS-MIB, SunSpec, common Modbus meter maps) and the meaning of each point is confirmed by hand.
- A scan only produces a draft point list that takes effect after confirmation, and every point it proposes is read-only.
- Families whose point map has not yet been checked item by item against the vendor's documents are marked "to be confirmed".
- Life-safety, emergency-power and protection families are forced to read-only in the model library.
A brand that is not listed can still be connected if the device speaks one of the supported protocols: it starts from the generic protocol template and is adjusted to the vendor's point list.
