One platform to monitor and run the whole facility

A large facility usually runs several systems that don't talk to each other. FacilityOS brings them into one platform, so the people on shift see the cooling plant, the power chain, the cleanroom and the alarms in one place, and every change to equipment is approved, read back and audited.

Brand-neutral

Any brand. Mixed freely. One platform.

FacilityOS is not tied to any equipment maker. Any device that speaks a standard protocol can be connected, and different brands work side by side on the same site — for example a Trane chiller, Gree air conditioners, a Vertiv UPS, Acrel meters and a Siemens PLC, all monitored together.

Keep what you have

Your installed equipment and existing systems stay. Nothing has to be torn out to get one view of the site.

Choose suppliers freely

When you expand or replace equipment, pick the supplier that fits — you are not locked to one manufacturer.

Compare prices

Because any compatible brand can be connected, purchases can go out to several suppliers for quotes.

One set of tools

Alarms, trends, reports and work orders work the same way for every brand on every site.

Example: one site, six brands
Equipment from different makers on one site, each on its own protocol, brought together by the FacilityOS gateway.

FacilityOS — one set of alarms, trends, reports and work orders

"Any brand" means equipment with a standard communication interface. Equipment without one is connected through added meters, sensors or dry contacts. Connecting a device still takes a confirmed point list — it is not plug-and-play without configuration. Life-safety equipment is monitored only, never controlled.

Why teams choose FacilityOS

The advantages that matter most on a critical site — each one is built into the software.

Any brand, mixed on one site

Not tied to any equipment maker: devices with a standard protocol from different brands are monitored together. The model library has 967 brands and 1306 product families, and unknown devices fall back to the generic protocol template.

Nine systems, one platform

FMCS, BMS, EPMS, EMS, SCADA, PLC/DCS, CMMS, DCIM and CEMS share one data set, one alarm system, one audit trail and one set of permissions. No separate products to buy and no integration between them to build.

8-step change flow

Request → validate → approve → pre-check → execute → read back → verify → complete. Requesters can't approve their own changes; writes are blocked in manual, fault or when data can't be trusted; success is decided by the read-back; anyone can press emergency stop; commands carry an Ed25519 signature and a lease epoch.

Life safety: monitor only

Fire alarm, gas detection and protection devices are read-only in the platform, and the catalog check rejects any change that would make such a point writable.

No data loss, control in the field

During a network outage the gateway buffers to local disk and backfills in time order, so history has no holes. Real-time control stays in the field PLCs and DDCs, and gateways only connect outward — no inbound ports at the site.

Open, with no data lock-in

Northbound OPC UA server, MQTT Sparkplug B, a REST API and CSV / Parquet export. Your data always belongs to you.

Power-grade precision

Native IEC 61850 client (MMS reports, GOOSE); sequence of events by each device's own time stamp to the microsecond with its clock source; COMTRADE fault records, power-quality compliance and before/after harmonic mitigation.

Safe rollout

Pilots go read-only → limited control → full control, each step checked and confirmed by two people. A network scan finds devices and drafts the point list; nothing takes effect until a person confirms it.

Built on four principles

Easy for newcomers

Plain language first, then the technical term. Every page has a guide you can switch off.

Safety first

Every change to equipment goes through 8 steps: request, validate, approve, pre-check, execute, read back, verify, complete. Life-safety systems are monitored only.

Data you can trust

Stale or timed-out data is marked stale and left as a gap on trends. Nothing is made up. Gateways buffer to disk during outages and backfill in order.

Control stays in the field

Real-time control runs in the field PLCs and DDCs; the equipment keeps running if the platform is disconnected. Gateways only connect outward.

Life-safety equipment (fire alarm, gas detection, emergency power transfer) and protection devices are monitored only. FacilityOS never sends them commands.

Frequently asked questions

What is FacilityOS?

FacilityOS is a unified operations platform for critical facilities. It brings FMCS, BMS, EPMS, EMS, SCADA, PLC/DCS, CMMS, DCIM and CEMS into one product, with a control-room video wall and a read-only AI assistant.

Which industries does it support?

11 industries with 48 segments: semiconductors, displays, new energy, biopharma, data centers, manufacturing, metals, glass, logistics, commercial buildings and healthcare.

Can FacilityOS control fire alarm or gas detection systems?

No. Life-safety equipment — fire alarm, gas detection, emergency power transfer — and electrical protection relays are monitored only. FacilityOS verifies that the expected linkage happened and notifies people, but never sends these systems commands.

Which protocols are supported?

BACnet/IP and BACnet/SC, Modbus TCP and RTU, OPC UA, KNX, SNMP v1/v2c/v3, MQTT, DL/T 645, IEC 60870-5-104, IEC 61850, M-Bus, EtherNet/IP, DNP3, Siemens S7 and ONVIF.

What happens if the network goes down?

Control continues in the field PLCs and DDCs. The gateway stores every reading on disk and sends the backlog in order when the connection returns, so history has no holes; any period that could not be kept is shown as a gap.

Do we have to replace our existing BMS?

No. During the pilot your existing BMS and EPMS stay in place as the primary systems. FacilityOS starts read-only and opens control step by step.
